The sashing would have to be white for this to be a modern quilt, right? But the blocks scream modern to me. If I were to quilt the whole thing in straight lines instead of just the colors on white fabric maybe I could get away with calling it modern. The piecer is a mighty modern woman, how much does that factor in? And how come paisley is either antique or modern but not traditional?
Maybe I'll just shut up and quilt.
