Welcome to the Fall 2009 Quilt Festival online! Thanks Amy, for hosting it. The spring festival was amazing! To see other quilts in the festival, go to Amy's list, HERE.
Here's my entry for the show. It is a quilt I started piecing about four years ago and finally dragged out of storage to finish up this summer. I stepped way out on a limb to quilt it with contrasting thread and it turned out surprisingly better than I thought it would.
Clicking on pictures takes you to the larger photo, and there are links to detail shots at the bottom of this post.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you really enjoy the rest of the quilt show!

Great quilts! I really like your EQ6 drawings. Playing around in EQ is one of my fav pasttimes, but I usually get myself in trouble by designing very complicated quilts and then when I go to make the quilt I am saying to myself "Why did I do this???".

ReplyDeleteThe contrast thread is perfect on the black ground ... beautiful quilting! How did you get the background squares to line up with the top squares?
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of women who seem to piece and quilt everyday...somehow the fact that you pursued this in between over and around other goings on for over four years seems really impressive to me. The quilting is fantastic...the back a glory. It is like a two mood quilt...quiet or whoopee bright and flowery! Fun fun fun.
